David
Leisner ~Following his
guitar master class at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music ~ April
2004
I
was looking forward for this master class, because I have been
playing for a couple of years now a David
Leisner edited version of 'Tarantelle' (Johann Kaspar Mertz).
This occasion was perfect to show David how I progressed with the piece and if
he'd like to comment on my style of playing.
Unfortunately, the master class finished later than it supposed to and there
wasn't enough time. Perhaps next time, David said as he signed my program.
There were lots of things discussed by David regarding the players' posture and
how they should practice.
I enjoyed watching Murilo Tanouye perform Homenaje by Manuel De Falla and
Rodrigo Santibanez perform Capricho Arabe by Francisco Tarrega.
And
I
really enjoyed Simon Powis' performance of Adagio from Concierto De Aranjuez
by Joaquin Rodrigo with Jeanelle Carrigan accompanying him on the piano.
